This course is for:

This gentle yoga course is designed for beginners who are looking to explore the basics of yoga and improve their overall well-being. Whether you’re new to yoga or wish to revisit its foundational principles, this course will guide you in a supportive, inclusive and welcoming environment.

What to bring:

For the first session, all you need is a yoga mat (we have spares if needed) and comfortable clothes that allow you to stretch. You may also want to bring a blanket for relaxation at the end of each class.

Course goals:

This course will introduce you to the foundations of yoga, including simple postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), and mindfulness practices such as meditation. You’ll learn how to reconnect with your body, breath, and mind, while gently improving flexibility, strength, and balance.

The sessions are designed to help you develop a sustainable yoga practice that supports both your physical and emotional well-being, giving you the confidence to enjoy yoga both on and off the mat. By the end of the course, you'll feel empowered to join other yoga classes in your community.

Laura Wilmshurst

I am a vinyasa flow yoga teacher. My yoga classes are designed to be a grounding experience, helping you connect your body with your breath. Life can be busy and I recognise the importance of spending time on your mat to move and reset.

I started practising yoga regularly during lockdown and became hooked. Outside of yoga I love running. I have personally found that a consistent yoga practice is an invaluable support system for my body.

I genuinely believe that there is a yoga class for everyone and I would love for you to practice with me.
