This course is aimed at students who already have undergone someĀ  floristry classes and have an understanding of the basics.

This course aims to:

Expand experience and knowledge of making arrangements understanding the principles of design. There will be a focus on form, rhythm flowers will be incorporated into design . There will be an opportunity to visit a local landscaped garden with cutting beds and to purchase English flowers from a local supplier.

The course focuses on flowers for the home but many designs can be recreated large scale . You will receive a weekly email of learning points and of what to bring the following week.

Additional costs :

All wires/ tapes/ chicken wire and bio foam are included in the course price. You will need to bring flowers and greenery each week. Greenery can be foraged from the garden/ countryside , garden flowers are suitable. Flowers do not need to be of the best quality you just need something to practice with.

Please note no class on Friday 21st and 28th June.

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine has an honours degree in Primary Teaching and a Diploma in floristry from Askham Bryan College graded distinction. After working for a few years in a popular local florists shop learning all aspects of floristry she taught classes to both adults and children as well as successfully working as a freelance florist on weddings , events and working with a variety of florists. Wedding cake speciality work was undertaken designing floral decorations for a local company. Elaine is very excited about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with students at Rossett School.
