This course is suitable for Intermediate level for those people who have a good grasp of beginners floristry. We will create structures using woody elements and continue to learn some new Ikebana techniques aswell as English Floristry. There will be a focus on form, proportion and texture.

Additional Costs

You will need to bring your own flowers and greenery for your designs. Greenery can be foraged or from the garden and spring flowers can be brought from the garden or can be purchased relatively cheaply. I will provide all tapes, wires, ribbons and other items required for the mechanics. You may wish to bring a pair of seceteurs.

This course aims to:

Further develop your floristry skills with a focus on the elements and principles of design. Shape and form will have a high focus in this course .

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine has an honours degree in Primary Teaching and a Diploma in floristry from Askham Bryan College graded distinction. After working for a few years in a popular local florists shop learning all aspects of floristry she taught classes to both adults and children as well as successfully working as a freelance florist on weddings , events and working with a variety of florists. Wedding cake speciality work was undertaken designing floral decorations for a local company. Elaine is very excited about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with students at Rossett School.
