This course is suitable for beginners or those with a little experience. With a focus on bright spring flowers and woody elements we will create a spring meadow design, living bulb wreath, mothers day design and an arrangement for Easter. We will look at colour theory.

This course aims to :

All students will need to bring their own greenery and flowers for each session. I will provide wires, tapes, biofoam and other items required for the mechanics. There is no need to spend a lot on flowers and greenery, greenery can be foraged and flowers can often be bought reduced its just the case of having something to practice with.

This course aims to: Improve floristry skills through creating designs for spring using the elements and principles of design. Learn how to condition spring flowers before use.

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine has an honours degree in Primary Teaching and a Diploma in floristry from Askham Bryan College graded distinction. After working for a few years in a popular local florists shop learning all aspects of floristry she taught classes to both adults and children as well as successfully working as a freelance florist on weddings , events and working with a variety of florists. Wedding cake speciality work was undertaken designing floral decorations for a local company. Elaine is very excited about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with students at Rossett School.
