Victoria Newsome

Victoria Newsome (BSc (Hons) Psychology, CertEd)

Victoria’s journey into psychology began at A Level at St Aidan’s, where she first discovered just how fascinating human behaviour can be. This interest quickly turned into a passion, leading her to study Psychology at degree level at Nottingham Trent University.

After graduating, Victoria spent some time working and travelling (because sometimes the best way to understand people is to meet as many as possible!), before deciding to train as a teacher. She completed her teacher training at Rossett and has since spent 13 years teaching A Level Psychology there.

Now with a young family of her own, Victoria brings warmth, relatability, and plenty of real-life examples into her teaching. She is passionate about making psychology accessible, practical, and engaging, helping people see how psychological ideas apply to everyday life. Be prepared, you may never look at your own (or other people’s!) behaviour in quite the same way again! Expect sessions that are interactive and thought-provoking because understanding the mind should be interesting, not intimidating!
