This course is for

People looking to improve posture, alignment, flexibility and core strength, as well as relieve stress and tension through mindfulness. 

 For the first session students will need;

Please bring a mat and wear comfortable clothing that allows the body to move. Shoes are removed so please wear clean socks. Spare mats are available and we will provide sanitiser to clean them down.

The course aims to

Improve your posture, alignment, flexibility and core strength, as well as relieve stress and tension through mindfulness. 

 Pilates is an all over body-conditioning exercise, used to develop complete co-ordination of mind, body and spirit to promote flexibility, balance, core strength and good posture. By targeting the deep postural muscles, Pilates helps to protect and stabilize the spine.

 This course is suitable for

Pilates is for everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, body type or ability. If you're completely new to Pilates, don't let that put you off. All exercises can be modified or progressed to suit your fitness goals/ability - that's the true beauty of it.

 The course will cover

“Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong posture, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit” Joseph Pilates.

 Your 10 week course will focus on all over body-conditioning, targeting deep postural muscles and incorporating the six core Pilates principles throughout; Breathing, Control, Centring, Precision, Flowing Movements and Concentration. Week by week, you will build strength from the inside out, rebalancing the body and bringing it into correct alignment. Regular practice will improve your posture, flexibility and core strength, as well as relieve stress and tension through mindfulness. 

 Pilates IS for everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, body type or ability. If you're completely new to Pilates, don't let that put you off. Modifications and progressions are shown on all exercises, so you choose an option to suit you and your fitness goals/ability.

 By the end of the course students should

 Demonstrate improved posture and core strength.

 Experience greater flexibility

 Have a feeling of improved overall wellbeing.

I help clients to improve their strength, mobility, flexibility and posture, with Pilates and exercise.
