Sewing for Beginners is a course that will introduce you to the basic skills and techniques, tools and equipment used for creating items in fabric. You will learn about the properties and selection of materials, how to read patterns and how to match them to suitable fabrics.

You will also learn how to thread and use a sewing machine, including the purpose of different presser foot attachments.

Small projects that support the development of sewing skills may be made during the course. These could include a simple top, easy drawstring trousers, or any other simple item you may wish to create.
