This course is suitable for complete beginners and improvers.

For the beginners this course covers: 

Knitting materials: yarn types and pin types and sizes.

  • The basic knitting stitches
  • How to read a simple pattern
  • The health benefits of knitting

For improvers: if you can cast on and off, knit and purl but would like to do more, this is the class for you. You will learn how to read a simple pattern, knit a tension square,  make rib stitches, increase and decrease and have the opportunity to knit a hat and a hot water bottle cover. 

All materials provided.

You will learn at your own pace in a supportive group. Lizzie is an experienced and patient teacher. 

The initial materials will be provided students only require a notepad and pen.

Lizzie Rosewood

Lizzie Rosewood has a background in nursing, counselling and memtal health in addition to being a lifelong knitter and crafter. She learnt how to crochet when she was a teenager, in order to make a poncho. 50 years on, she would love to share this relaxing and vrsatile craft with others.
