Iyengar Yoga is named after Yogacharya Sri B.K.S Iyengar of Pune, who developed a style of yoga which is attentive to correct alignment of the body. This form of practice is safe whilst improving your flexibility and strength. Iyenagr Yoga goes beyond other styles of yoga and is immersed in the philosophy of The Yoga Sutras. this is the reason why there is such an underpinning reference to the alignment of the asanas (poses), therefore giving marvelous health benefits.

Michelle endeavours to continue to give students the insight and help them see how amazing their bodies are.

One of Michelle's students' comment  "I have been fortunate to attend Iyengar Yoga at Rossett Adult Learning for a few years now, both face to face and virtual classes with the amazing Michelle Mangeolles.   Iyengar, named after BKS Iyengar, the yoga teacher who developed it,  is a fantastic practice which focuses on mastering poses through concentrating on alignment and precision.  It can be physically and mentally challenging and has helped me develop an awareness of good posture and ways to look after and strengthen my body and enhance flexibility.  Michelle is a wonderfully talented, approachable and caring teacher, who always injects fun into her varied and challenging classes.   She caters for all ages and abilities and supports students to develop their practice regardless of their starting point.  I can't recommend it enough for anyone serious about maintaining good health and vitality!"

Please also complete the health questionnaire and email to adultlearning@rossettschool.co.uk if you haven't done one previously
