- Health and the body
- Food and eating out
- Travel and holidays
- Nature and weather
- Family and relationships
- Media and technology
- Festivals and culture
- Learning languages
- Looking ahead
Grammatical structures include:
- Present, past and future tenses
- Modal verbs
- Separable verbs
- Reflexive verbs
- Common dative verbs
- Word order
- Cases ( prepositions and function within sentences )
- Adjectives ( endings , comparatives & superlatives )
- Pronouns ( personal, possessives, relative )
For my current students, we will be finishing off the Willkommen 1 course book chapter 12 but
new students need not purchase this. A new course book title is yet to be confirmed but will not
be needed for the first few weeks of the September term.
We will also use a wide range of other materials such as magazine articles, songs, poems, video
clips and online exercises.
There will be plenty of opportunity to practise pronunciation, develop grammatical skills, expand
vocabulary and gain confidence in speaking German.
Our main objective is to practise and consolidate spoken and written German and have fun while
doing so. Also, komm und mach mit!
