This is for learners who have been learning for 3 terms.

The course includes practice of the four language skills  - listening , speaking, reading and writing but with particular focus on the first three.

The term will start by revising and consolidating  what has been previously learned in the first year, such as asking for and giving information about oneself in addition to functional language such as shopping, eating and drinking and making arrangements.

Topics will include aspects of town life such as shopping and travel, clothes and gifts, weather , health, using the telephone but there is always plenty of scope to cater for individual requests – nothing is set in stone!

In terms of grammar, we will revise the present tense and word order as well as learning how to talk about things in the past. We will also learn how to compare things , practise word order and learn how to use adjective endings but these will be incorporated into the work being covered at the time.

All in all, this course is suitable for those with a basic knowledge of French but many things from last year ( such as asking questions, numbers etc. ) will be revised and practised throughout the three terms.

The main objective of the course is to practise and consolidate spoken and written French and have fun while doing so!
