Course learning outcome:

Learn to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases. Introduce yourself and others. Ask and answer questions about yourself and have simple conversations such as where you live, people you know, and things you possess.
Learn to interact with others at a beginner level.

For the first session students will need pen and paper only. Students will be provided with handouts/worksheets.

The course will cover:

- Introducing yourself and asking someone to introduce themselves.

- Giving personal information

- Asking someone their address and where they come from.

- Asking for directions and describe location

- How to use transportation (metro/bus)

- Understanding and expressing time

- Asking questions about shopping

- Ordering at a café or restaurant

- Expressing your tastes (aimer/adorer/détester)

- Writing a formal e-mail or letter

- Making comments about clothing

- Talking about the weather

- Asking and explaining prices

Rima Bennett B.A (Hons), Dip. FE teaching, DPSI – law sector. I have lived and studied in Paris and I travel every year to France and Montreal. I have 16 years’ experience in delivering well-structured lessons that have proved successful in inspiring students of all ages and capabilities. This encompasses undergraduates, adult Higher Education courses and one to one GCSE and A level support.
Being trilingual and having lived in many countries, the purpose of my courses is to promote language acquisition and cultural awareness.
Learners will widen their vocabulary, improve their grammatical knowledge and practice their communication skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
