This course is aimed at students who have previously attended classes . We will cover current designs developing arrangement skills encompassing the theory of design and colour theory in floristry. A variety of materials will be used in addition to greenery and flowers.

Additional Costs
Students are expected to purchase their own flowers and foliage each week. Please bring a pair of secateurs if you have some at home. Wires, tapes , ribbons and other materials will be provided through the course. A floristry pin frog would be useful but not essential  and can be purchased on line. One with a wide diameter works best. Floristry materials can be foraged from the garden and hedgerows and woody elements work well this season.

This course aims to :

Develop floristry skills incorporating current techniques. We will cover current arrangements, a woodland arrangement and an autumnal long lasting wreath.

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine has an honours degree in Primary Teaching and a Diploma in floristry from Askham Bryan College graded distinction. After working for a few years in a popular local florists shop learning all aspects of floristry she taught classes to both adults and children as well as successfully working as a freelance florist on weddings , events and working with a variety of florists. Wedding cake speciality work was undertaken designing floral decorations for a local company. Elaine is very excited about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with students at Rossett School.
