Drones have become a popular new hobby for may people wanting to take some stunning videos and photos.  This course is aimed at those people new to drone flying. It will teach you about the basic rules for flying, about how what you need to do when you buy a drone. Find out about the requirements for different types of drones, where you can and can’t fly, and what apps are available to help you plan your flights. It will also look at the different qualifications you can obtain and what you need to start flying.

 This course will feature a practice session to develop your skills in drone flying so you will need to bring your drone (don’t forget to charge your drone before you come on the course). Depending on the weather flying will either be within Rossett grounds or possibly indoors.

 You will also have the option of undertaking a free examination to obtain your Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) Pilot-ID. Please note that you can take this online exam at any time including before or after the course. This course will help you understand some of the rules of flying drones to help you obtain your Pilot-ID.

Haydn has worked for Rossett Extended Schools since 2004 when he taught the European Computer Driving License. He has years of experience in Microsoft Office and delivering training across a variety of subjects. In his spare time Haydn enjoys digital photography, Photoshop, audio and video editing, and watching movies. He also is the founder and host a regular 2-hour podcast and produces videos on YouTube.
