THIS CLASS RUNS FOR 2 DAYS - Thursday 23rd to Friday 25th July 9.30 - 15.00

This is an opportunity to gain expert guidance on dressmaking and make a simple garment in 2 days, and is suitable for beginners, and people refreshing their knowledge. You should be able to produce a simple top or shift dress in 2 days.

Please bring an “easy” pattern (this is usually marked on the pattern envelope), cotton fabric with no stretch, that does not require pattern matching, matching thread and any other “notions” listed on the pattern eg.  iron on interfacing - medium to light weight depending on the thickness of the cotton, elastic, button etc.

Plus also bring your sewing kit, pins, needles, tape measure, scissors, and if you have a sewing machine bring that too, although we do have machines available.

You are able to sign up for the full 5 days (please enrol separately for each course), if you wish to extend your learning or have existing skills and wish to embark on a more lengthy, complex project.

We can also offer family learning if you would like to bring a young person aged 14+ along free of charge.
