This course is for;

 

Anyone who wants to improve their photography. This course will explore both technical skills, understanding the right equipment and settings to use, as well as how to compose your images.

 

As part of the course you will be given time to leave the school grounds and take photos in Harrogate, returning after lunch to digitally enhance your photos in Photoshop.

 

For the first session students will need;

 

A pen and paper to take notes and access to a digital camera (DSLR is recommended but any camera can be used.

 

If you can bring your camera’s USB cable or a card reader that will be helpful for transferring your images for the second part of the session.

Using the right equipment

Setting up your photos

Composition

Basic uploading and editing skills

 

By the end of the course students  

 

Students will have greater understanding of how to take and edit a considered digital photo.

Haydn Rees Jones

Haydn has worked for Rossett Extended Schools since 2004 and works as an Adult Education Tutor for North Yorkshire County Council, delivering across a range of vocational and learning for leisure courses. In his spare time Haydn enjoys digital photography and uses Photoshop to enhance his digital pictures. He also is a co-host of a podcast and produces videos on YouTube videos and Twitch.
