Summer Floristry

This course  is suitable for beginners/ intermediate level. Our focus will be using mainly English garden flowers combined with greenery. You will learn about the different types of greenery and their uses including long lasting types that need little water. We will make a loose modern asymmetric design using herbs, foam free floral meadow, fun arrangements for outdoor entertaining and arrangements in glass vases.

This Course aims to : Increase knowledge of conditioning and handling summer flowers and greenery incorporating different techniques and designs working with seasonal flowers. We will be applying the principles of design focusing on form, balance, colour and rhythm and movement.

Additional costs: Students will be expected to purchase their own flowers and foliage each week. These materials can be from the garden, countryside or hedgerows where permitted. Please bring a pair of secateurs if you have some at home. Wires, ribbons and floristry tape will be included in the cost of the course. At the end of each week you will be briefed on what to bring the following week.
