Sketchbooking Day on Location - Urban Sketching

Bring your lunch.

This day can be stand alone or you can develop your work on a second day which must be purchased separately on the website.

Minimum 2 set locations in the day.

Please join me in Harrogate, for an an opportunity to do some urban sketching with a group of like minded artists, and enjoy the outdoors. We’re so lucky with a wealth of inspiring subject matter. Please bring your own materials, at least a sketchbook, pencil & or pen. If you’re all set up, bring some form of colour, be it portable water colour or coloured pencils for ease, for example. But honestly, just a drawing pen and simple sketchbook can be enough to have a very satisfying day where we study some urban detail, or capture a feeling of classic Harrogate. We’re not short on fabulous architectural subject matter, and all within easy reach. I will pass from student to student throughout the day, giving guidance & encouragement. We’ll move location whilst keeping fairly close together once sketching, so that I can attend to all equally. Do bring lunch, a portable stool or chair is recommended, and feel free to take breaks as you feel inclined. Should we have inclement weather we will take cover somewhere convenient & perhaps work from there if necessary. Meeting point is at the main entrance to Valley Gardens on Valley Drive at 10.20..
