This course aims to develop Portrait Art using Drawing and Painting materials

The class will cover: The challenges of illustrating observation using drawing mediums and then progressing onto painting techniques

This is suitable for beginners who want to build their core skills and become more confident and enjoy learning how to create a portrait with various art mediums or advanced learners who wish to improve their technique in a supportive learning environment.

It would also give previous students the opportunity to explore new challengers and progress their illustrative skills further

The course will cover

Understanding the head and its proportions

Self Portrait and Working from a model

Tone and value with black and white medium

Building structure and depth with Paint

By the end of the course students should feel confident in combining a range of art techniques and be able to judge, create and assess accurately.
