Multi Media Madness

Mixed Media Madness involves using a wide range of materials and techniques....... and messing about creatively whilst focusing on Summertime themes.

The workshop is aimed at people of all abilities from beginners to budding Picassos. A variety of Mixed Media Painting and other materials will be introduced and combined in creative ways. There will be demonstrations of practical work, methods and materials regarding mixed media and painting. The practical demonstrations will help you secure a sound starting point whilst encouraging freedom to generate individual ideas.

You can bring along any materials and work you wish to develop and/or pre-prepare items for the day. You may wish to bring along a piece of MDF, Card or a Canvas to be developed further on the day. Your work may be the starting point for a series of mixed media works possibly. During practical demonstrations I will try to give a number of visual presentations on methods and ideas. These will give you a broader understanding of painting and mixed media practice. One to one support will be given as well as group presentaion and discussion. Your unique ideas and our shared enthusiasm for Art is paramount in making the workshop a pleasant Summer experience.

The course provides an opportunity for you to:

• prepare for your mixed media pieces.
• explore your ideas as you build up materials through layers.
• try out a range of mixed media painting techniques
• experiment with materials.
• share your ideas with other artists.

Please note that materials are included in the day course, however as per the information above you may wish to bring some things with you.
