Learn to hook a rag rug cushion cover, utilising fabric and textile remnants of your choosing. The course will focus on the technique of rag rugging and the recycling of materials to your own colour scheme.

Please bring any fabric you wish to use and are happy to cut up, but don't cut up prior to the course as there are several different styles of 'rugging', all of which require different lengths of fabric and thickness.

Old t-shirts, jeans, bedding and jumpers all work well. Bring as many different colours/textures as you wish.

The hook and webbing will be provided.

This is a great way to re-use and re-purpose unwanted fabric and clothing.

Lucy Chaplin

Fibre enthusiast, contemporary knitting and crochet addict. I dye my own yarn and create my own designs, never to be seen without a hook or needles!
Crocheting and knitting for several years, very much inspired by the retro style of the 1960/70’s. Love the midcentury modern style of decor, crochet and knitting which fits in very well with the current trends.

Knitting and crochet can be described as ‘Yoga for the mind’, taking time for yourself to craft is fantastic therapy and rather addictive!
