This course is for;

This course aims to provide the ideal introduction to the language, covering the basic language needed in everyday situations on a visit to Greece. It is for complete beginners or those who want to refresh their basic language skills.

The course is divided in three terms and by the end of the three terms students should be able to get by in real life situations in Greece.

By the end of the course students should be able to

 

For the first session students will need;

Pen and paper only. Students will be provided with handouts/worksheets which will be the basis of their studies.

Additional Costs;

It is not necessary to buy a book as photocopies will be provided.

This term will cover

  1. Introduce yourself and others.
  2. Use a limited range of basic formalities and courtesies (thanks, apologies, enjoy your meal)
  3. Express difficulties with language (repeat, slow down, I don’t understand etc.)
  4. Hobbies and likes.
  5. Dealing with directions and at the tourist information office.

Ruby Zakopoulou

I am a Qualified and experienced tutor of Modern Foreign Languages. I graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a degree in French Literature and Language and completed a Master’s degree in Applied Translation Studies at Leeds University. I also have diplomas in Tourism Management and Marketing and in Culture and Heritage. I speak Greek (native), English, French and Italian. I have been a teacher and examiner of foreign languages of all levels to children and adults at schools and colleges for more than 10 years, creating an engaging, challenging and fun environment that promotes learning.
