This course is suitable for anyone who enjoys all things French!

During the course you will be gaining a historical perspective of France.

This will include looking at the reason behind the formation of Modern France, a view as to the enmity which existed between France and its various neighbours and the importance of regional developments over the centuries (this will refer to three regions, the Paris Basin, The Loire Valley and the South of France).

You do not need to bring anything to the class except a notebook and a pen.

Alain was educated in both France and the UK. Keen to partake in discussions about as many aspects of French life as possible using various media. Has a few years of experience in terms of teaching. Has been running a French film club for a number of years for the people of Harrogate
