This is the first chapter in a course which aims to look as many facets of French culture as possible: From History to Philosophy and from Music to Sport , not forgetting Politics, Important Men and Women, the Arts  and Literature. 

The first part covers all aspects of France as a Geographical Entity.  Questions such as:    Why and when did  the Cote d’Azur become so popular?  Are there people still going to see the Chateaux de La Loire?  Where are the wines produced?  What is the Sologne ?  Where is the Morvan ?  And what can you do there as a  visitor? Apart from Notre-Dame what else is there to visit in Paris? Le Carnavalet ?  Where are the wolves?  And the bears ?-  will be answered wherever possible.
