Start date: 2nd Feb 2022

Time: 14:00 - 15:30

Cost: £40

Day: Wednesday

Duration: 4 weeks

Tutor: Jackie Depelle

Course code: SP22042

This course guides you through the mysteries of wills and probate records.

Considered the third most useful source for Family History a really “good” will can be full

of family names, personal information and associated details. Some provide clues and

signposts to additional research.  Sample both Modern and Ecclesiastical indexes and how to order copies.

Will include basic palaeography techniques and focus on England and Wales with brief guidance for Ireland and Scotland.

It may be that some ancestors weren’t eligible to make a will or just didn’t however with all the

indexes that are online why not check to see if they did!
