Maps for Family, House and Local History

Just looking at an ordinary street map can reveal so much especially if it is possible to compare a run of years picking up on changes. In this three week course with Jackie Depelle a selection of maps will be reviewed and where applicable, their associated documents. The focus will be on researching and extending Family, House and Local History studies.

The maps might open up new avenues to explore or highlight recourses which could be revisited for further study. Enjoy instant access to online map collections identified by the group and note others which might be of future use. Initially following the basic methodology of constructing a family tree before branching out into other supporting map material
