Sew yourself a pair of pyjama bottoms and a t-shirt top.

You will need to bring a basic pyjama bottom pattern, a t-shirt pattern and any sewing tools that you have. Some tools are available to use if you don’t have your own though, so don’t panic!

In week 1 you will learn how to measure yourself, cut out the paper patterns and discuss fabrics that would work so you can go and buy your own ready for sewing in week 2.  Once you’ve mastered the trousers, we shall tackle stretch fabrics by making a t-shirt top to go with your bottoms!

For patterns, make sure that you purchase one of the many multi-sized trouser patterns such as the Tilly and the Buttons Jaimie (or Joe for the male fit), Sew Over It Ultimate Pyjamas or Closet Core Carolyn Pajamas. Any basic t-shirt pattern designed for jersey will do.

Although traditional patterns such as Simplicity, Butterick and Burda ones will be fine, you might find that indie pattern companies like the ones listed above have far clearer instructions!
