This course will teach students how to choose plants for specific sites and how to use them to create a border that has cohesion and rhythm.  Students will be encouraged to bring in pictures and dimensions of their own borders so that we can workshop them in the class and they can take home their own planting plans.  We will also discuss creative pruning to retain existing plants but manage them in a more successful way and finally we will cover good horticultural practise to care for the border.
