Acrylic ink is a fast drying acrylic based painting ink that creates a waterproof film keeping colours clean. It can be used to achieve effective layered texture and transparent glazes with its high pigment content.
This course aims to: help students learn how to developing acrylic ink painting skills using texture and colour to create still life, landscapes and abstract art. It will also help students understand the variety of effects, depth of colour and texture Acrylic ink can achieve.
This is suitable for beginners who want to build their core skills and become more confident and enjoy the effects of manipulating Acrylic Ink or advanced learners who wish to improve their techniques in a supportive learning environment.
It would also give previous students the opportunity to try new challengers and progress their skills further.
The course will cover:
Exploring colour composition, texture and paint techniques to create still life, abstract art, and landscape painting.
Students will progress their understanding of colour placement, direction, observation and mark making skills.
By the end of the course:
Students should feel confident in creating art by combining a range of painting techniques and be able to judge, create and assess accurately.
