This course is for: Beginners/Intermediate Learners

This course will cover the use of Spring flowers, and will include a Spring hand tie, and arrangement in a trug or basket, and Easter table arrangement and an Easter wreath.

We will look at colour, texture, movement and shape in our work.

Additional Costs:

Students are expected to purchase their own flowers and foliage each week. These can be purchased from florists, garden centres and/ or supermarkets. Seasonal flowers and foliage is suitable from gardens and where permitted countryside and hedgerows. Students will be briefed at the beginning of each week in what to bring the following week .

Included in the price of the course are the cost of wires/ ribbon and other floristry materials that will be supplied by the tutor.

Please bring a pair of secateurs if you have some at home.

This course aims to:

Introduce students to a variety of practical skills, techniques and methods used in the professional industry. It will provide current information on the floristry industry.

We will email out the requirements for the first class.

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine has an honours degree in Primary Teaching and a Diploma in floristry from Askham Bryan College graded distinction. After working for a few years in a popular local florists shop learning all aspects of floristry she taught classes to both adults and children as well as successfully working as a freelance florist on weddings , events and working with a variety of florists. Wedding cake speciality work was undertaken designing floral decorations for a local company. Elaine is very excited about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with students at Rossett School.
