Beachcomber Crafts - Sea Birds and Driftwood

Start date: 16th Jul 2022

Time: 09:30 - 14:30

Cost: £35

Day: Saturday

Duration: 1 weeks

Tutor: Sarah Hallworth

Course code: 22SU054

This full day, 5 hour workshop is an immersive experience, in which you will create from lightweight clay, seabirds of your choice from pictures and examples provided.

You will then bring to life your creations with acrylic painting, wirework beaks and legs and varnish. The birds will be mounted in a design of your choice, onto either freestanding driftwood pieces or wall hanging pieces with cotton cord hangers.

The day involves the use of cutting tools, electric drilling, pliers and fine work. So wear an old shirt and bring reading glasses if you wear them.

Weather permitting, we may work outside under the canopy.

Bring lunch though I can’t promise you will eat it! You may be too busy.
