Barre is an effective and efficient way to exercise your entire body. This high intensity but low impact way of working your body means that anyone can do it, all ages, shapes, genders, fitness levels and abilities. Adaptations and modifications are always given through out. 

Classes are made up using elements of ballet, yoga and pilates but by no means do you need to be a 'dancer' to take part in this class. Working your muscles in a different way to your norm we will be focusing on the burn and firing up all the muscles we neglect in day to day life. You will perform exercises that focus on exhausting your muscles with movements that bring your muscles to 'shake' and from here that is where you will find your muscles begin to fatigue but also where you will improve your strength and stamina, we work with isometric holds and embrace the shakes.

Come along for a full body workout with the use of props and a killer playlist. You'll be sure to leave with a smile on your face and feeling proud of the work you've done!

Lydia Petch

Hi I’m Lydia, I am a fully certified Pilates instructor. My background is in professional dance where I'm trained in styles such as ballet, tap, jazz and many more. Dance has been part of my life since I was 6 years old and plays a huge part in the way I teach. From my years of training I take pride in technique and aim to teach all my students to move with control and precision whilst having a good time and connecting with their own body. I have practiced Pilates myself for 7 years and have a huge passion for it and I now teach classes all around Harrogate including; David LLoyd, O'Connor Chiropractic and Pure Physio Fitness Rooms. I am super excited to be a tutor here at Rossett and hope you all fall in love with Pilates practice as much as I have.
