This course is suitable for:

Absolute Beginners . . . for students with very little or no experience at all of dancing

Beginners Plus . . . for students who have been dancing up to a year, or are not very confident dancers

Improvers . . .  for students who have been dancing over a year

For the first session students will need:

Comfortable clothing and shoes but preferably not rubber soled shoes.

The course aims to help people feel good about themselves whilst learning to dance or improving their dancing abilities.

This course is suitable for everyone interested in learning to dance, and improving their technique. No partner, no problem. Please call the office on 01423 563768 to discuss if you're unsure of your level.

This term we will be covering:

Absolute Beginners . . .  fundamentals of the popular dances, foxtrot, cha cha, waltz, tango, quickstep and jive.

Beginners Plus . . . building on the fundamentals of the popular dances and also introducing viennese waltz, samba and paso doble.

Improvers . . . improving technique in the popular dances and introducing the slow foxtrot and argentine tango

By the end of the course students should be able to dance to a level which they are happy with and is acceptable to them.

Steph Sartin

Steph is an experienced dance teacher who has danced since childhood working through the medal system. She was a competitive dancer as a young person and as an adult has gained a professional qualification with the International Dance Teachers Association to teach Ballroom and Latin Dancing.

She is passionate about all aspects of dance and likes to encourage her students to develop their skills by arranging social dances for them to practice what they have learnt in class.
