Students will learn to read music written in treble and bass clefs, and play melodies limited to the range of a 5-finger hand position. 2-handed interaction may also be covered.
Topics will also include interpreting time signatures, pulse and rhythms, and sharps, flats and naturals.
By the end of the course, students should be able to play a repertoire of pieces, and be ready to progress to improver level if they wish. Students will need to have access to a home piano or keyboard for each class.
